What is there to do in Moses Lake?

A true story....

Bored tourists: Do you have any tourist brochures?
Hotel desk clerk: No...there is nothing to do here.

What sort of hotel would train their employee to tell guests there is nothing to do?

......and that is why the 5 of us are sitting here in this hotel room writing this blog.....after spending 3 hours and 2 trips looking for the Moses Lake cemetery which is 8 miles away in another town. Well...not exactly a town. But we had to go through another town and a cornfield, and a potato field, and an onion field, and past a tree....to get there.

a true story in moses lake .....

i think i'll wash clothes while i sit by the pool and decide what to do for the day. i go to desk clerk; ask for $10 in quarters; she lays out 10 quarters and we stare at each other. i then say i need $10 - not 10 quarters. she then takes out a roll of quarters and proceeds to begin counting them out in stacks of $1. i ask her "why don't you just give me the whole roll? a roll is $10". she says okay and asks what to do next. i say "here is $20; i need change". she says "what do i give you back?" I say $10; she says okay but i only have 5's. i say "i'll take two." She says "i'm not good with numbers". --Linda

We asked the maid what there was to do and she said "nothing. i hate it here." we finally found something to do tho; aunt irene suggested we go to the casino at grand coulee dam, so me, barb, mom, aunt lila and aunt irene went. mom was the big winner with $40 and aunt lila lost - she wouldn't tell us how much.
